Time Trialing Clinic for NHCC
Written by Tom Luther
Hello NHCC Time Trialists, To all of you who have signed-up to participate in the time trial clinic tomorrow (Tuesday) evening, June 21, at 6:00 p.m., please note that we have changed the venue from the NHIS in Loudon to the NH Technical Institute in Concord (see attached map). We will meet in the parking lot opposite the soccer field. Brian King will be there early to set up so if you get lost please feel free to call him on his cell phone at (603)233-8516. Don't forget to bring your TT bike (or bike with clip-on TT handlebars), stationary trainer, heart rate monitor and/or power meter (if you have one). This should be a lot of fun! See you there! Written by Juniors
On June 30 there will be a junior individual time trial on the oval. The TT will awards prices in four age groups (10-12 1 lap,13-14 1 lap, 15-16 2 laps, 17-18 2 laps). The TT will start at 5:30 PM and racers will be started at one minute intervals. This should have us finished well before the senior races start.
Only bikes conforming to USCF road racing rules will be allowed and aero bars will not be permitted. Make sure to use junior gearing, we will have you do a roll-out immediately after finishing the TT.

If you think you will be taking part please let us know by sending a mail to nhccjuniors@yahoo.com

Providing there is enough interest there will be a TT coaching session for the juniors in June. Please send a mail to the junior group (nhccjuniors@yahoogroups.com) to indicate your interest.

Further details will be announced through the junior Yahoo group -- you can join this group by going to http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/nhccjuniors/join (you can obtain a Yahoo! account for free) -- If you are not a junior yourself please let us know why you are registering with the group.

Can-Am Junior Challenge
Written by Juniors
On May 21-22 there will be the 3rd annual Can-Am junior challenge in New
Jersey (http://www.ne-bra.org/News.asp?id=450)

Steven and Josh Lehmann will be going there with a 15 passenger van and
you may well be able to catch a ride with them. They plan on leaving on
Friday the 20th at 1PM from their home in Weare, NH. If needed they can
pick up people in Concord or Manchester. If you like to go with them you
will have to coordinate/make your own sleeping arrangements -- Details
can be finalized prior to leaving?

If you are a junior and interested in going please let us know so that
we may be able to help coordinate events -- please write us at

Neither Steve Dowe or myself will be able to go, but we hope you grab
the opportunity to go to, what should be, a great event.

The NHCC Junior Racing Program was awarded a grant by the New England Bycicle Racing Association (NEBRA). In their meeting it was remarked that “Everybody agreed this grant request was exactly the type of program we had hoped for when the grants were created”. Off course we are very excited about this and hope that we can do NEBRA proud.

Hi all, The 2005 season is just around the corner and registrations on BikeReg.com are already open for many races. Particularly if you are a Cat 4/5 rider, you will want to sign up early or risk being shut out. Happy training!
