Thursday Cyclo-Cross Series at Carter Hill Orchard in Concord!
FROM: 2010 NH Cycling Club Membership and NHMS Series Pass ------------------------------------------------- October 6, 2010 Introducing the Carter Hill Orchard cyclocross training series! New Hampshire Cycling Club is proud to announce the Carter Hill cross training series. This practice/training event will occur every Thursday until December. The course will vary, but always includes hills, barriers, and some technical features. Some single-track sections also will be routinely featured. This event is sanctioned by USA Cycling, and all cyclocross rules apply. A current USA cycling license is required (road, cross, or mountain). A same-day license fee of $5.00 will be due if you do not have a USA Cycling license. No exceptions. A USAC waiver will need to be signed each day, similar to the NHMS track series. The cost for each day of racing is $5 (additional fees apply if one-day license purchased required). To clarify, a licensed rider rides for $5, unlicensed $10.00. Any and all proceeds will be used to defray to cost of running the event, and to purchase and maintain equipment for the course and/or make course improvements. This venture is made possible through the generosity of the landowner, Rob Laroque. The event will occur at Carter Hill Orchard in Concord NH. The physical address is 73 Carter Hill Road, Concord, NH 03301. We will be assigned particular parking areas to be clearly indicated at the event. The orchard is easy to find and is located at the very top of Carter Hill. A “CX” sign will be posted near the entrance and parking areas. Training starts Oct 7th at 5:15pm sharp, and will occur every Thursday afternoon. We anticipate this will become a “headlight required” event by late October. Warmest Regards, Christopher A.
